FORMER PRESIDENT OF AAO-HNS AND REKNOWN ENT JOINS
DEAFNESS RESEARCH FOUNDATION'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 24, 2002 - K.J. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.S. has been confirmed to serve on the Deafness Research Foundation's Board of Directors. Dr Lee's appointment began on October 1, 2002 and is a one-year term. Simultaneously, Dr. Lee will serve as President of Deafness Research Foundation's Centurions, a national membership society of noted ENT's that are dedicated to advancing hearing health research.

Lee is Managing Partner at the Southern New England Ear, Nose, Throat, Facial Plastic Surgery Group in New Haven, Connecticut. He has published 15 textbooks, one of which is in its eighth edition and is considered one of the most-read texts in the world in otolaryngology in three decades. He is the former President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery/Foundation.

"Dr. Lee has been involved with DRF for over 30 years as a life member and Chair of the Centurion Club in Connecticut," said Susan Greco, Executive Director of DRF. "Not only is he one of the top ENTs in the country but he is a committed hearing health advocate as well. This unique combination makes Dr. Lee an essential addition to the DRF/NCHH board of directors."

Dr. Lee received his undergraduate degree and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery training from Harvard and his M.D. from Columbia University. Lee is an Associate Clinical Professor at Yale University and the President-elect of the New Haven County Medical Association. He has served as President of the hospital medical staff and chair of its medical board. The Deafness Research Foundation is proud to have his support.
