CALL FOR MANUSCRIPTS: SPECIAL JAALAS
ISSUE DEVOTED TO NOISE AND VIBRATION IN THE ANIMAL
FACILITY
The American Association for Laboratory Animal
Science (AALAS) is the premier forum for the
exchange of information and expertise in the care
and use of laboratory animals. Since 1950, AALAS
has been dedicated to the humane care and treatment
of laboratory animals and the quality research that
leads to scientific gains that benefit people and
animals. Noting the need for a greater
understanding of the role acoustic information
plays in animal facilities and animal models, the
official journal of AALAS (JAALAS) is planning a
special issue on Noise and Vibration in Animal
Facilities to be published in January 2007. JAALAS
invites manuscript submissions that relate to the
diverse impacts of noise/acoustics and vibration in
animal facilities. Original experiments and review
articles related to any aspect of the effects of
noise or vibration on research animals are
encouraged. For more information about JAALAS and
author instructions visit http://www.aalas.org/publications.
Questions about publishing in JAALAS or the
appropriateness of an article for this special
issue should be directed to journals@aalas.org.
Deadline for submission of manuscripts is August
15, to allow sufficient time for peer review.
Tentative publication date for the special issue is
January, 2007.
