10TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON THE
MECHANICS OF HEARING (JULY 27-31, 2008): CALL FOR
ABSTRACTS
The 10th International Workshop on the Mechanics
of Hearing will be held at Keele University,
England on July 27-31, 2008.
The aims of this workshop are to promote the
integration of innovative theoretical and
experimental research, and to advance our
understanding of the mechanics of hearing.
Contributions relating to the mechanics of both
mammalian and non-mammalian auditory systems (and
related mechano-transducers) will be encouraged.
Researchers working at the molecular, cellular and
systems levels, using biological, mathematical and
engineering techniques should find this a unique
opportunity to discuss their work and ideas.
To ensure high-quality scientific interaction,
the number of oral presentations will be limited to
about 40, and the number of posters to 50. The
proceedings of the workshop will be published, with
publication priority being given to innovative and
comprehensive studies.
Preliminary abstracts are now being invited. The
abstracts will be used to draw up the initial
schedule for the meeting, and will not be published
or circulated outside the organising committee. The
deadline for receipt of abstracts is November 1,
2007.
