Committee Report: 2006

Purpose

To evaluate progress and suggest future growth for the Association for Research in Otolaryngology.

General Charge

  • To evaluate and determine the wishes of the membership.
  • To suggest emphasis or priorities for the Association.
  • To suggest new and improved plans for the Association.

Specific Duties

  • To write and supervise the analysis of the Midwinter Meeting (MWM) questionnaires.
  • To write and analyze any other questionnaires needed to poll the membership's views on future plans for ARO or to ascertain the effectiveness of any given program or direction.
  • To publish a yearly article in the ARO Newsletter informing the membership about MWM questionnaire results and the activities of the LRPC.
  • To distribute the results of the MWM questionnaire to the Council and to various committee chairs so that suggestions by the members will be heard and acted upon.

Assumed Effects

  • Improved communication between the membership and the Council with direction from the membership.
  • New and invigorating ideas for improving and satisfying the goals of the Association.
  • Development of interest by members in the Association.
