Applications for ARO Audiologist Travel Awards: Call for Applications
Application Period is September 1-September 30, 2016
The Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) announces that applications are being accepted September 1-September 30, 2016 for travel awards for audiologists to attend the 2017 ARO MidWinter Meeting being held February 11-15, 2017 at the Marriott Waterfront hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Awards of $500 each are being offered to defray travel and lodging costs associated with attendance at the ARO's annual meeting. The recipients of these Travel Awards will be selected by the American Academy of Audiology Research Committee. Applicants need not be a member of ARO.
The purpose of the award is to encourage audiologists to attend the Midwinter Meeting and become active in the ARO. These travel awards are made possible by a grant from the American Academy of Audiology Foundation.
Individuals from groups historically under-represented in the biomedical sciences are highly encouraged to apply. Members of these under-represented groups include those identifying as African American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan native, or Pacific Islander. Under-represented groups would also include those individuals with a physical disability such as a loss of hearing, vision, or mobility, as well as individuals with a psychiatric or learning disability, etc.
