Travel Awards Call for Applications is September 1 - September 30, 2016
For graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, audiologists, and minority scientists, attendance at the MidWinter Meeting provides important exposure to research in the otolaryngology field and to the scientists who do that research. For that reason, the ARO has, for many years, offered travel awards to help qualified applicants attend the meeting. The funds for the awards have come from the donations of various generous institutions. Applicants who are presenting oral presentations or posters at the meeting are given the highest priority; research achievement and career promise are given substantial weight.
Individuals from groups historically under-represented in the biomedical sciences are highly encouraged to apply. Members of these under-represented groups include those identifying as African American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan native, or Pacific Islander. Under-represented groups would also include those individuals with a physical disability such as a loss of hearing, vision, or mobility, as well as individuals with a psychiatric or learning disability, etc.
