ARO Speaker's Bureau

We are in the planning stages of creating a Speaker's Bureau of members who are willing to give lectures to the public about their research activities.  During the next annual membership renewal period, if not sooner, ARO members will be asked if they wish to be included in an ARO Speaker's Bureau database.  We plan to make the database searchable by location (city/state/country) and by the following scientific topics:

  • Hearing and music perception
  • Speech and language
  • Causes and consequences of hearing loss
  • Our noisy environment – how it impacts us, and what to do about it
  • Hearing and communication in animals
  • Hearing restoration – cochlear implants and hearing aids
  • Hearing restoration – research on future treatments
  • Balance – how do we maintain balance, and what happens when we don’t?
  • Balance restoration – current therapies
  • Balance restoration - research on future treatments

Please stay tuned (no pun intended)!
