2017 MidWinter Meeting

This year’s Mid-Winter Meeting in Baltimore promises to be packed with great science and special events. Nearly 1200 abstracts were submitted. Seventy seven invited symposium speakers will participate in 9 invited symposia, as well as special symposia to honor colleagues Bob Shannon, who recently retired, John Niparko (1955-2016), and Norman M. Weinberger (1935-2016). Social events include the regular Welcome Reception and Award of Merit Reception. There will also be an outreach program featuring Vint Cerf  -

For the younger members of the society, there is a Poster Blitz (with awards for best presentations), while spARO (Students and Postdocs of ARO) is organizing mentoring activities, a town hall meeting and social events.

Special workshops are planned on 
- science communication
- publishing
- get your research funded
