2024 Frequency-Following Response (FFR) Workshop

Help by Northwestern University in downtown Chicago June 12-14, 2024.

Following in the footsteps of the London (2014, 2019), Boston (2016), and Barcelona (2022) workshops, the idea of the FFR workshop is to attract the ever-growing community of researchers working in classic as well as newly flourishing areas of FFR research. Similar to the 2022 format, the workshop will feature oral presentations, round table discussions, poster sessions, and social activities -- which will include a Chicago River architectural boat tour!

2024 American Auditory Soceity Conference

The AAS 51st Annual Scientific & Technology Conference will be held at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, February 15 - 17, 2024. This conference will continue the tradition of promoting translational research and providing an intellectually stimulating and collaborative atmosphere for all attendees. The program will include translational research presentations, special sessions, poster sessions, technology updates, the Carhart Memorial and Killion Lectures, and a Life Achievement Award.

 

The abstract submission site for the AAS conference will be open October 1 - November 15, 2023. All proposals are to be submitted online only through the AAS website. All submissions are reviewed by the AAS Program Committee during a blind peer-review process; acceptance is related to consistency with the stated criteria and quality of the submitted materials. Visit https://aas.memberclicks.net/submit-abstracts for more information and to submit your abstract.

 

Travel Awards to assist with conference participation will be offered. Those wishing to apply for awards must complete an abstract submission, checking the appropriate category of award sought (T35 Poster, Mentored Student Research Poster, New Investigator Poster, or New Investigator Podium) before the abstract submission deadline on November 15.

2024 NIDCD Virtual Workshop on Dissemination & Implementation Science in Communication Disorders

Save the date (Oct 24-25, 12-5 eastern): NIDCD’s Virtual Workshop on Dissemination & Implementation Science in Communication Disorders: The National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) will host a free, virtual workshop to kick-off the strategic plan theme on translating and implementing scientific advances into standard clinical care. All are welcome to attend. No registration is required. The event will be recorded and the recording will be available on the workshop website shortly after the live event. 2023 Journées Perception Sonore, co-organized with the Société Française d’Acoustique

This is a two-day meeting held in Ircam (Paris, FR) that aims to bring together the French scientific community of auditory sciences. This 4th edition, entitled Sound Perception and Health, will be structured around seven keynote presentations and will offer participants the opportunity to present their work on posters. Participants will also be invited to a unique art-science “laboratory-concert” event.

2023 Auditory Perception, Cognition, and Action Meeting

APCAM 2023 will occur on Thursday, November 16th, 2023, in San Francisco, California, at the Hilton San Francisco in Union Square. APCAM 2023 is a satellite meeting of the Annual Meeting of the Psychonomic Society and is a meeting of the Auditory Perception and Cognition Society (APCS).
